Dr Kate Bruce-Laryea (General Practitioner)
MB ChB, DCH (SYD), FRACGP
Dr Bruce-Laryea has worked in general practice since 2006. She obtained her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2008. Before that, she worked in various hospitals including Box Hill Hospital, Angliss Hospital, Peter James Centre and Korle-bu Teaching Hospital in Accra Ghana. She has a Diploma in Paediatrics and is an Antenatal Shared care Affiliate with Eastern Health and Monash Health.
Kate has interests in Women’s Health, Child Health and Mental health. She also has an interest in Chronic Disease Management and aged care. She has worked with many patients with Depression, Anxiety and Stress. Kate loves reading and spending time with her family.
Dr Joanne Chew (General Practitioner)
MBBS, FRACGP, Dip (Child Health)
Jo completed her GP training in rural Victoria receiving her fellowship in 2019. She has previous experience working in public hospitals in Western Australia and Victoria. She has previous experience working in public hospitals in Western Australia and Victoria. Jo’s interests are paediatrics, aged care, palliative care, and preventative health
Outside of work, Jo loves going for long walks and reading about natural history
Dr Marcus Pensa (GP Registrar)
BMedSc MD
Dr Pensa graduated from Monash University in 2021. He has worked with Trobe Regional Hospital and Leongatha Health General Practice from 2022-2023. In 2024, he worked Project Health General Practice. He did rotations in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Orthopedics, Paediatrics, and Obstetrics and Gaenachology.
Dr Pensa enjoys cycling.

Dr Sarah Lim (GP Registrar)
BMedSc MD
Dr Lim graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 2021. She worked at the Alfred Hospital from 2022 to 2024, doing rotations in General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and Critical Care. In 2024, she worked at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, working in Geriatrics, General Medicine, and Psychiatry.
Dr Lim has a personal interest in competitive figure skating.
Dr Risa Fukusho (GP Registrar)
MB BS
Dr Fukusho graduated from Nagasaki University School of Medicine (Japan), in 2007. She worked with Monash Health from 2019 to 2024, doing rotations in Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Geriatric Medicine, and Plastic Surgery.
Dr Fukusho loves spending time with her family.
